- measure the area you are planning on flooring;
- make sure that the floor you are planning on placing the vinyl flooring on is smooth, fill the holes where necessary with putty;
- Roll craft paper on the area, roll the vinyl flooring on it and cut the excess edges of vinyl where necessary;
- Apply double-stick tape in places under the edges of the vinyl to keep it from moving and make it stick to the craft paper. Use adhesive where necessary.
