Can I install hardwood floor over an existing cushion floor or should I take the cushion floor up? thanks A.B. | |
Answers:
1Take it up. There are times you can glue wood to make a floating floor so you don't have to nail or glue down. But by cushion floor I am assuming you mean a floor that has a lot of give or play i.e. cushion to it, and that will be really bad for the wood in the long run. You want it as level and sound as possible. So take the hour or so and do it right.
